Man faces attempted murder charge

A County Londonderry man is expected to appear in court charged with attempted murder.

It follows the stabbing of a 30-year-old woman at a house in the Curran Road area of Coleraine on Saturday.

The police said the alleged "domestic type incident" took place at about 0400 GMT.

A PSNI spokeswoman said: "The lady received treatment in hospital, but has since been released."

The 37-year-old man is expected to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday.
