Suzanne Stevens, manager of Little Stars said: "I can confirm that a member of staff of Little Stars playgroup has been diagnosed with TB.
"As a result we are co-operating willingly and fully with a programme of screening for all 50 children and six members of staff which has been put in place by the NHPS for Wales and its partner agencies.
"All our parents have received letters explaining the arrangements and I would like to thank all the parents for their support and understanding during this difficult time.
"There are no other cases of this in the area and we've been advised that we are fine to stay open as there is no risk to others," she added.
