Men injured in drive-by shooting

Two men have been taken to hospital after being shot in a drive-by shooting in Birmingham.

They were in a car in Southfield Road, in Edgbaston, shortly after 1900 GMT on Monday, when a car pulled up alongside them and shots were fired.

The two injured men managed to drive off to get medical help.

Police have cordoned off the scene and further investigations will take place later, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said.
