An Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) spokesman had earlier said: "The aircraft's fuselage has been recovered onto a surface vessel and will return to Aberdeen overnight, after which it will be transported to the AAIB's facility in Farnborough." Rescuers said the helicopter's tail boom was missing.
The Super Puma, operated by Bond, overturned in the water on Thursday. The fuselage will be taken to the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) facility in Farnborough, Hampshire.
An AAIB spokeswoman said: "The vessel carrying the fuselage has now docked in Aberdeen, and will now be transported to Farnborough for investigations to begin."
