One man has been killed and four others have been injured after a car crashed on the A75 in Dumfries and Galloway. A Dumfries teenager who was killed in a car crash which injured four other youths has been named by police.
Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said five young local men were involved in the incident, which happened at about 1235 GMT near Douievale, Dumfries. Danny McQueen, 16, from Lovers Walk, died after the car hit a tree when it came off the A75 near Douievale.
The force has appealed for witnesses to the accident just east of Collin Services. Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary said five young local men were involved in the incident, which happened at about 0035 GMT just east of Collin Services.
Four youths are being treated at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. Two have serious injuries.
