Version 0 of 1.

A man accused of fatally stabbing Harry Potter actor Rob Knox showed "no remorse" an officer has told a court.

When Karl Bishop, 21, was told he was being charged with Mr Knox's murder his response was "yeah sweet", Pc Craig Reid said.

He said Mr Bishop, of Sidcup, was quite calm but then got angry because he would be missing a Ricky Hatton fight.

Mr Knox, 18, was stabbed outside Metro Bar in Sidcup, south-east London last May. Mr Bishop denies the murder.

Mr Knox, of Swanley in Kent, was stabbed five times as he tried to defend his younger brother Jamie from the defendant, the court heard. Five others were also stabbed in the row.

Mr Bishop, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, who also faces five charges of wounding said he was acting in self-defence. I don't mind, I get gym every day, meals, just take me there Karl Bishop told Pc Craig Reid

Pc Reid said at the scene he saw an angry crowd throwing chairs, tables and bottles at Mr Bishop.

The officer said he heard someone say "he's just killed someone" and saw a pool of blood "as big as my arms could stretch".

"It was wet, fresh blood."

The defendant "pleaded for us to get him out of the area" but later told the officers that he was arrested even though he was being attacked because he was black, the officer said.

Missing 'Hatton fight'

Pc Craig said: "There was no real reaction to being told that he was being arrested for murder.

"There didn't appear to be any remorse."

But he was angry about missing "the Hatton fight", the officer said.

The court heard Mr Bishop also asked the officer to take him to Belmarsh prison saying "I'm going down any way...

"I don't mind, I get gym every day, meals, just take me there."

The trial continues.
