There has been an armed robbery in Kesh, County Fermanagh.There has been an armed robbery in Kesh, County Fermanagh.
It is believed up to four armed men entered the Northern Bank in the village on Friday. Police are currently at the scene. It is believed up to four armed men entered the Northern Bank in the village on Friday.
Local witnesses said the men escaped in a silver Toyota Avensis car in the direction of Belleek. They escaped in two cars. One, a blue Toyata Avensis rammed a police car in a lay-by at Dromard Cross about a mile outside of the village.
The robbery happened between 1330 and 1415 GMT. Police have appealed for anyone who saw suspicious activity on Main Street to contact them. The men then escaped in a silver car, also thought to be an Avensis. The scene has been sealed off while investigations are carried out.
The Northern Bank said it does not comment on security incidents, but it is understood a sum of money was stolen.
The robbery happened between 1330 and 1415 GMT.
