Police name woman found murdered

A woman found murdered in Portsmouth was a 51-year-old originally from Northern Ireland.

Police found the body of Elizabeth Scouarnec, of Portsmouth, at an address in Northern Parade, in the Hilsea area of the city, on Thursday morning.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody after police were granted further time on Saturday night to question him.

A second man arrested over the death has been released without charge.

Police said they were not yet in a position to release details about how Ms Scouarnec died.
