The road was closed for around eight hours following the discovery. Police believe L/Cpl Beckett was giving his friends a lift into Haverfordwest after watching Wales beat England in Saturday's Six Nations clash.
Local councillor James Adams said: "This is a small community which is quite numbed and shocked at an incident like this. He was due on duty that evening, but although his absence was noted he was not reported missing.
"A lot of people can't quite believe such an incident could happen without anybody knowing about it. The men's bodies lay in their car for at least 12 hours before the wreckage was discovered.
"It's an 'A' road that is relatively busy all night long, but there was no evidence to suggest a vehicle had left the road until daylight came and somebody came across the scene. Insp Dave Sweet of Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We know that the vehicle hit a hedge bank and flew through the air.
"Where the car landed was out of view of the road." "It went through a garden wall and landed in a building plot behind another ll.
The MoD said it was announcing the untimely deaths of the soldiers with "great regret". "It would not have been visible during the hours of darkness, which explains why it was not seen."

The MoD said it was announcing the deaths of the soldiers with "great regret".
Paying tribute, their commanding officer, Lt Col Tim Carmichael, said his thoughts were with the men's families.
Cpl Ginty, from Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire was one of the regiment's "rising stars", he said.
"Having already served in Iraq and Afghanistan, he volunteered to return to Helmand Province and was due back there next month," he said.
"So it is all the more sad that he should die in a road traffic accident so near to home.
'Fine man'
"Dan was the best of his bunch - a strong leader and role model for the junior lads. His passing has left a hole that will be hard to fill."
He said L/Cpl Beckett, who was from Telford, Shropshire, had already "faced the tough challenge of an operational tour in Helmand Province" in Afghanistan.
"To have returned from there and yet have his life cut short within a few miles of my regiment's base in Pembrokeshire is particularly tragic.
"Chris Beckett was an enthusiastic young man who was learning his trade at an impressive rate."
Cpl "Jimmy" Luton, of Belvedere, Kent, was "a fine man and a capable soldier with a ready smile", Lt Col Carmichael said.
'Lasting memories'
"He will be sorely missed by all his comrades and friends in the regiment."
L/Cpl Beckett's family have said they were "devastated" while Cpl Ginty's brother also paid tribute.
Breaking down in tears, Adam Ginty said: "My brother was my hero, my best friend and most of all he is my inspiration.
"His outlook on life, his achievements and lasting memories are testament to a truly great man."
The Pembrokeshire coroner is expected to open and adjourn inquests into the deaths in the coming days.
