Version 0 of 1.

A man who met a 15-year-old girl over the internet and travelled to France with her has been extradited to the UK.

Robert Williams, 49, could face charges now he has returned to Britain. The girl was found with him in France after disappearing from her Cleethorpes home.

Humberside Police confirmed that their officers accompanied Mr Williams back to the UK from Lille.

His lawyer said last month that Mr Williams was not resisting the extradition request.

"Mr Williams has stated very clearly, here in court and on previous occasions, that he absolutely wants to be returned to the UK to be able to explain everything," Henry-Pierre Rulence told French judges.

Mr Williams is also on bail on suspicion of raping a 16-year-old girl.
