Arrests as man assaulted in city

Two men have been arrested after a man was assaulted in west Belfast on Tuesday night.

Shortly before 2200 GMT, a 22-year-old man was attacked by three other men who got out of a car.

The victim said the men tried to drag him into the car, but he managed to escape. He suffered bruising to his body in the attack.

The two men who are being questioned are aged 19 and 38. Police have appealed for witnesses.
