The first and deputy first ministers are travelling to Brussels with other executive ministers to press for compensation for the NI pig industry.

Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness are leading a delegation that includes Agriculture Minister Michelle Gildernew and Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster.

They will brief European agricultural officials on Tuesday on the crisis which followed the dioxin scare.

The ministers are hoping to secure 700 jobs in the industry.

Pork products from pig farms in Northern Ireland were withdrawn from stores for a period last year after it discovered that animals had been fed tainted food.
