Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson is selling hundreds of items of memorabilia from his Pinewood Studios office, including his furniture.

Captain Scarlet puppet heads, silver Thunderbirds models and Stingray prints are expected to fetch up to £5,000 each at the south London auction.

Mr Anderson moved offices in December after 38 years at Pinewood.

Battersea Arts Centre auctioneer Tony James said: "There has already been worldwide interest in these 250 items."

CGI movies

Mr Anderson created 16 TV adventure series since the 1960s such as UFO and Space 1999, many filmed using puppets in a process known as "supermarionation".

His Thunderbirds characters, including Brains and Lady Penelope, were revived in a 2004 movie.

Other items for sale at Saturday's auction include a solid silver FAB 1 car, a pewter Thunderbird 2 spacecraft, a 24 in (60cm) prop version of Lady Penelope's pink Rolls Royce and Mr Anderson's office chair.

Mr Anderson left the Buckinghamshire office to work on a series of CGI movies.
