Weather forecasters are predicting another cold day, bringing the prospect of ice on the roads on Friday morning. There has been more snow overnight with up to four inches falling near Brecon in Powys.
More than 60 schools are closed across Wales on Friday as more snow falls following a week of closures. The M4 between Junctions 22 and 29 is described as "hazardous" and the A470 is shut between Merthyr and Brecon.
Temperatures are set to plummet and number of councils are also looking for more supplies of road salt. More than 120 schools remain closed on Friday compared to more than 600 which shut in Wales on Thursday.

Rhondda Cynon Taf council said it would take a decision on Friday morning on whether to reopen its three mountain roads - Bwlch, Rhigos and Maerdy - which were closed on Thursday night.
