Officers Aaron Torglaski and Robert McCabe are being charged with second-degree assault, according to prosecutors. Both were arraigned on Saturday, but released on their own recognizance after pleading not guilty. They will return to court on July 20. Martin Gugino was seen on video allegedly being shoved by the officers at a demonstration in Niagra Square. After he is pushed to the ground, Gugino hit his head and blood can be seen pooling onto the sidewalk. Another officer assisted Gugino after he was allegedly assaulted.
