Two men have died after a road accident in West Lothian. Three men have died after a single vehicle crash in West Lothian.
A third man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the crash near Winchburgh in the early hours. A 4x4 carrying five men crashed on the B9080 in Threemiletown, near Winchburgh, at about 0215 GMT.
In a separate incident, a male cyclist was left in a critical condition after his bike collided with a car near Falkirk on Saturday night. Two 25-year-old men died at the scene and another man, also 25, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he later died.
And a 13-year-old boy is in hospital with head injuries after he was struck by a motorcycle in Hamilton. The biker has serious chest injuries. A 27-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, who were also travelling in the car, were taken to hospital for treatment.
Personal details of those killed will not be released until the next of kin have been informed.
A police spokesman said: "This has been a terrible accident that has tragically left three men dead and two others injured.
"Inquiries are at an early stage and we are ask anyone who was on road or in the area at the time to come forward to help with our investigation."
