He said: "An absolutely horrendous road crash occurred on the Earnock Road in Hamilton.
"A silver Ford Mondeo was being driven from the East Kilbride area. The vehicle was coming round a right-hand bend and the driver lost control.
"The vehicle struck the house and has taken a substantial portion of the house down.
"The three occupants had an extremely lucky escape."
