The severe weather over the New Year has left more than 26,000 homes in Scotland without electricity. Scottish Power engineers have been working to restore electricity to 10,000 homes after the supply was lost due to severe weather conditions.
Emergency crews were extremely busy and Strathclyde firefighters dealt with 300 incidents. Eighty of those happened at around about the same time. On Hogmanay more than 26,000 homes lost power with areas in north Ayrshire and Lanarkshire the worst affected.
Scottish Power said it had been working throughout New Year's Day to restore supplies.

The Forth Road Bridge was open to all but double deckers early on Monday, although a 40mph speed limit was in force.
Scottish airports were affected by the weather. Some flights from Glasgow were diverted after 1900 GMT on Hogmanay while Edinburgh cancelled a flight to London on Monday.
First ScotRail services were suspended at 2200 GMT on Sunday. No trains were due to run on New Year's Day.
Scottish Power said areas worst affected by disruption to supply were north Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.
The company said about 10,000 homes were facing a second night without electricity.
