Murder inquiry after man's death Man arrested after fatal stabbing

A man has been arrested as part of a murder investigation into the death of a man in his 20s in West Sussex. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old man in West Sussex.
Emergency services were called to an altercation in Shelby Road, Durrington, Worthing at 2240 GMT on Friday in which a local man was injured. Emergency services were called to a reports of a fight in the street in Shelby Road, Durrington, Worthing at 2240 GMT on Friday.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance but later died. The local man was found at the scene with multiple stab injuries. He was taken to Worthing Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Another local man was arrested and is being questioned by detectives from Sussex Police's major crime branch, a spokesman said. Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Durrington following the incident.
A spokesman said officers, acting on information received at the scene, arrested the suspect shortly after 2300 GMT.
Forensic investigation
The man who died was of no fixed address. His family have been informed and a police family liaison officer is with them.
Det Ch Insp Adam Hibbert, who is leading the investigation, has appealed for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
Worthing district commander Ch Insp Howard Hodges said: "There is a lot of activity in the Shelby Road area involving scene of crime and forensic investigation.
"This is a routine response to a major incident and will continue for a while.
"If anyone has information or just wishes to talk to my officers on the cordon, they are very welcome to do so."
