Police recover firearms from taxi

A number of guns and a quantity of ammunition have been seized from a taxi in north Belfast.

The search was carried out by detectives and uniformed officers from the PSNI's Crime Operations Department.

The taxi was stopped on the Crumlin Road shortly before 1700 GMT on Tuesday.

Two men have been arrested and are assisting police with their enquiries.
