Teenager injured in town shooting

A teenager has been injured in a paramilitary-style shooting in Lurgan.

It happened in the Meadowbrook area of the County Armagh town on Saturday night.

The 18-year-old male returned home to find an gang of unknown men waiting for him. They beat him with hurley sticks and shot him in the right leg.

Police have appealed to anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
