A 20-year-old man has died in a car crash in County Tyrone. The 20-year-old man who died in a car crash in County Tyrone on Friday was Ashley McKeown from the Ballygawley Road in Dungannon.
The accident happened on the Ballygawley Road in Dungannon at about 2315 GMT on Friday. The accident happened near his home at about 2315 GMT. Only one vehicle was involved.
Only one vehicle was involved in the crash. The Ballygawley Road is expected to remain closed for most of Saturday morning. UUP MLA for the area Tom Elliott said his thoughts and prayers were with Mr McKeown's family.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the family of this young man who died in the accident," said UUP MLA Tom Elliott. "Each accident brings its own heartache and tragedy to the families involved and to the entire community," he said.
"During the last few years there have been a number of road fatalities in the south Tyrone area, each one of them bringing its own heartache and tragedy to the families involved and the entire community.
"It is important that the public treat the roads with the care and attention they deserve.
A police spokeswoman said: "Motorists are advised to take an alternative route."
