Homes have been evacuated after a man threatened to blow up his home during a siege in Lincolnshire.

Police were called to the property at around 1130 GMT after reports that a man had been threatening his family at Virginia Drive in Louth.

Officers said other family members had now left the property and been taken to a place of safety.

But the man has so far refused police requests to come out and has threatened to blow the house up.

Police negotiators and fire engines remained at the scene on Friday evening.

A police spokesperson said officers were talking to the man to try to prevent him from attempting to harm himself or anyone else.
