Man in custody over death of boy Stepfather quizzed on boy's death

A man is in custody after the death of a 15-year-old boy in Carmarthenshire in the early hours. The stepfather of a 15-year-old boy who died of multiple stab wounds is understood to be in custody in connection with the death.
Dyfed-Powys Police have named the dead teenager as Jamie Yeates and have said officers were not looking for anyone else as part of the investigation. Jamie Yeates died on Thursday morning after the stabbing at his home in Grant Street, Llanelli, at 0255 GMT.
A woman was also injured in the incident, in Grant Street, Llanelli, at 02.55 GMT on Thursday. Jamie's 18-year-old sister Kimberly is being treated for stab wounds in hospital, his head teacher said.
She is still being treated at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, although her condition is not life threatening. Police said they have been granted extra time to interview a man and they are not looking for anyone else.
Two tents were erected by police in the street where the incident occurred. A post-mortem examination was carried out on Jamie's body on Thursday and police said he died from multiple stab wounds.
Two mobile police stations have also been set up in the area and briefings have taken place throughout the day in a bid to keep residents informed. The boy's sister received knife wounds to an arm and underwent surgery in hospital, said Geraint Roberts from Ysgol Gyfun y Strade.
A force spokeswoman said: "Police would like to reassure the public that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this time." Officers said a woman was injured in the incident and that she was being treated at Morriston Hospital, Swansea. They said her condition was not life threatening.

He said stress counselling was being offered to both pupils and staff at the school.
On his Bebo web page, the dead teenager described himself as Jamie the Jockey and wrote of his intentions to attend the Northern Racing College in Doncaster after completing his GCSEs.
Tributes from friends have poured in to the site. One wrote:
"R.I.P mate. Should never have gone that way!! You were a lovely boy and a great mate.. Never forgotten and always loved.. See you soon one day."
Another friend wrote: "rip jamie son will be missed and always will neva forget u lv u xx."
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The man arrested in connection with the incident remains in custody and police have been granted extra time to interview him.
"Police would like to reassure the public that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident at this time."
