The latest delay was caused by a problem in the Atherstone area of Warwickshire at about 0930 GMT, National Rail Enquiries said. The incident, in the Atherstone area of Warwickshire, resulted in delays of up to 50 minutes, the National Rail Enquiries website said.
The stations affected include London Euston, Rugby, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street. However, Network Rail said the hold-ups had been less severe.

The one delay is the 1116 to Crewe, which is understood to be running 14 minutes late.
All other services are now said to be running on time, including the 1202 to London Euston.
