Firefighter injured battling Christmas Day blaze at Frederick County home
Version 0 of 1. Four adults and two children were displaced Christmas Day after a fire tore through their Maryland home, officials said. Frederick County fire officials said the blaze started just before 11 a.m. in the 6000 block of Woodville Road near Old Annapolis Road in the Mount Airy area. When firefighters arrived, they could see flames showing through the front door. About 75 firefighters, including some from neighboring counties, spent about an hour getting the blaze under control, according to Frederick County fire officials. One firefighter was hurt in the incident and transported to a hospital. The extent of the injuries were unknown. The Red Cross is helping the displaced.
