A doppelganger of the firebrand Chechen leader has been found in the unlikeliest of all places… the German armed forces, stunning viewers who joked that it might be hinting at some things to come. A ‘doppelganger’ of Chechnya's firebrand leader has been spotted in the German armed forces, begging the question: Has Ramzan Kadyrov gone deep undercover?
Embedded to illustrate an article by RT Russian on Germany’s plans to expand the Bundeswehr’s overseas deployments, the eye-catching photo shows soldiers standing still as they greet Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, the defense minister. A Reuters photograph dated October 23, 2019 shows German Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer greeting German soldiers stationed at a base in Erfut. One of the Bundeswehr members – bearded and grinning – shares a striking resemblance to Kadyrov.
A soldier standing third from right bears an uncanny resemblance to the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, when viewed in profile.The reddish beard and the overall look are so close to Kadyrov’s that even the Bundeswehr’s distinctive Flecktarn camouflage uniform couldn’t hide the similarities. The stunning find has so far been mostly overlooked online, but some eagle-eyed internet dwellers didn’t let it go unnoticed. The photographic evidence can mean one of two things: Kadyrov has a long-lost twin brother of German heritage, or, alternatively, Kadyrov has covertly embedded himself into Germany’s military, likely in order to carry out a highly classified mission which could decide the fate of the world.
“Kadyrov is on a top-secret mission,” joked Telegram channel Orda. After all, the Chechen leader isn’t a stranger to soldiering. From time to time, he makes headlines by firing off bellicose outbursts, be it threats to target Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) followers or quell the Islamist insurgency in his own republic. Military-style clothing is also something Kadyrov is not shy to don from time to time.
What’s more, the Chechen leader isn’t a stranger to soldiering. From time to time, he makes headlines by firing off bellicose outbursts, be it threats to target Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) followers or quell the Islamist insurgency in his own republic. There is of course a third possibility – the photograph shows a German guy who sort of looks like Ramzan Kadyrov. But that would be too easy, or?
