The State Parole Authority said Obeid had “demonstrated satisfactory prison performance”. In granting Obeid parole, the State Parole Authority ordered the former politician to comply with 11 standard conditions.
His release date has been set for 14 December. The parole authority also imposed a further condition “that he not engage in any activity paid or unpaid involving the control of money or assets of other people or organisations”.
