A vehicle which police believe may have been used in a kidnapping and robbery last week is being examined in Belfast. Police investigating a kidnapping and robbery last week have arrested two people in Belfast city centre.
Armed robbers woke a mother and two children from their beds at their Hannahstown home in the middle of the night and forced them into a van. A 40-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man were arrested, as police examined a vehicle at Adelaide Street thought to have been used by the armed robbers.

Adelaide Street in Belfast city centre has been closed off while Army examines the vehicle. The street was cordoned off for much of Christmas Eve while the Army examined the vehicle, which had been left in a car park beneath Tyrone House apartment block.
Appealing for information, a police spokeswoman said detectives wanted to speak to anyone who may have seen who left the car there.
