Bedfordshire Police said he died in hospital on Saturday, two days after the collision on the A507 Woburn Road.

The baby was in the back of a Vauxhall Astra which was in collision with a Honda Civic and an Iveco flat bed lorry. Six others were injured.

A 19-month-old girl also in the back of the Astra suffered serious bruising.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, received serious leg injuries and the 21-year-old woman in the front seat suffered a hand injury and bruising.

The driver of the Honda and a passenger suffered slight neck injuries.
