A couple from Somerset have transformed a 20ft (6m) conifer into a Christmas pudding complete with cream and illuminated holly berries on top.
The tree in Roger and Valerie Holley's front garden in Yeovil is spreading the festive cheer to passers-by.
Roger Holley, 60, used white emulsion paint to create the cream and half a dozen ball floats from a toilet cistern, painted red for the berries.
It has taken Mr Holley five years of careful pruning to create the pudding. | It has taken Mr Holley five years of careful pruning to create the pudding. |
"We're a very sociable couple and like to spread good cheer," said Mr Holley of his festive creation.

The couple got the idea for the transformation from their 10-year-old granddaughter.
"I was pruning it because it kept getting bigger and bigger and she said 'you know granddad it looks a bit like a pudding'," said Mr Holley.
The first pudding transformation happened two years ago when Mr and Mrs Holley laid white sheets over the top of the conifer to represent the cream.
"Bad weather took the sheets apart but the original plywood leaves which are 4ft (1.22m) tall are the same and the base made from railway sleepers and a car tyre haven't changed," said Mr Holley.
Tiny lights inserted into the berries mean the whole pudding comes to life at night.
"The neighbours love it - it makes everyone smile." |
