Two Shetland men have appeared in court in connection with the deaths of 21 grey seals on the small island of East Linga. James Stewart, 47, and John Eunson, 44, were charged with mutilating, beating and crushing the seals and wilfully killing them. Both men made no plea or declaration at Lerwick Sheriff Court and the case was continued until next year. One condition of bail was that both men stay away from the island. |
