Version 0 of 1.

A man believed to have killed his wife and daughter before setting fire to their house will be buried in a plot next to them, it has been revealed.

Christopher Foster, 50, murdered his wife Jill, 49, and daughter Kirstie, 15, before setting alight their mansion in Maesbrook, Shropshire, in August.

They will be buried at St John's Church, Maesbrook, on Friday.

The Diocese of Lichfield said the decision to bury them on the same day was taken by the family.

The funerals of Mrs Foster and her daughter will be held at 1100 GMT while the service for Mr Foster will be held at 1430 GMT.

'Unusual circumstances'

A spokesman for the Diocese of Lichfield said: "The funeral arrangements have been made in consultation with the families and next of kin.

"With the unusual circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths of the Foster family, it is impossible to find a solution which will fully satisfy everybody.

"But we hope the funerals will provide a dignified opportunity for the families and friends to pay their final respects."

An inquest into the family's deaths has been opened and adjourned.

Police have said they were not looking for anyone else over the deaths.

CCTV footage recovered from the mansion showed Mr Foster carrying a gun through the burning buildings.

A post-mortem examination revealed his wife died from a gunshot wound to the head.

It has not been determined how Kirstie and her father died.
