But Geneva’s historic heart was already a couple of thousand years old when the United Nations came to town, and the city’s residents — newcomers and natives alike — still fiercely embrace traditions that have been celebrated here for centuries. Paris or Rome it isn’t, but then Geneva isn’t vying to be one of the megastars of Europe.
