He said on the programme: "As the investigation goes on we have been able to build a more comprehensive picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident but we still need a few vital pieces of information to help us to catch Jessie's killer." He said: "We are delighted with the response from last night's appeal. We have had at least a dozen calls.
"There were three very significant calls after the programme last night, and one more this morning.
"Officers are following this new information up. Although the calls were small in number, they are incredibly high in quality and we are confident the appeal has generated significant leads for the inquiry.
"This Christmas is obviously going to be an incredibly difficult time for Jessie's family, and I would once again ask the community to tell us what you know so that those responsible for this murder can be brought to justice."
