A 39-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man who died early on Saturday.

Tom Smith died in the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff after suffering stab wounds in an incident in Penyrheol, Caerphilly, south Wales.

A 19-year-old man arrested on Monday remains in police custody. Two teenagers, aged 17 and 18, were bailed earlier by police.

Mr Smith was pronounced dead in hospital in Cardiff.
A spokesman for Gwent Police said: "The 17 and 18-year-old males who were arrested in connection with the death ... have now been released on police bail pending further inquiries."
Mr Smith's family have released a tribute to a "wonderful and loved son, brother, grandson and uncle".
"He loved life and brought so much love and laughter into our lives and the lives of Claire [his girlfriend] and all his friends.
"There was never a dull moment with our Tom and his cruelly-ended life has left so much pain and emptiness in our hearts. Our lives will never be the same again."
