Paul Green, head teacher at Royal Manor School, said: "Some of [Kyle's] friends have been raising money through raffles and other enterprises for the people who have been so conscientiously searching for Kyle.
"We will no doubt be in contact with Kyle's mother and the rest of his family in the New Year to discuss a suitable memorial for him.
"In the meantime, our thoughts are with them throughout this difficult time."
He added that a special assembly was being held for Kyle's year group in the afternoon.
