A constable has been sacked for misuse of Norfolk Police computers after sending e-mails to colleagues suggesting gay sex was "sinful". The force said the actions amounted to misconduct by Pc Graham Cogman, 49, who was dismissed following a hearing. Disciplinary action was taken over e-mails quoting biblical texts and suggesting homosexual sex was "sinful". He was also asked to resign over a charge of failing to treat a colleague with politeness and tolerance. Ther force said he forwarded details of a group offering to "cure" homosexuality. Deputy Chief Constable Ian Learmonth, of Norfolk Police, said: "This officer's behaviour fell well below what we expect of our people." |
