Gunfire has been reported coming from the rear entrance of the US embassy in Haiti, according to an official Twitter account for the US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs. The sound of gunfire coming from the rear entrance of the US embassy in Haiti was on Monday reported by the official Twitter account for the US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs.
“Shelter in place is in effect for the Embassy compound. The source of the gunfire, or whether there have been any injuries, is still unclear.  Later on Monday, the Bureau of Consular Affairs tweeted that the “situation” around the embassy had been “resolved” and the warning had been lifted. It did not provide any details on the incident.
