Version 0 of 1.

A jury trying four men over the murder of a woman police officer has been sent out to continue its deliberations for a fourth day.

Pc Sharon Beshenivsky was shot outside a travel agency in Bradford in a bungled robbery on 18 November, 2005.

Mr Justice Andrew Smith told the jury to take as much time as they needed when they began their deliberations at Newcastle Crown Court last Tuesday.

He urged the jury to try to reach unanimous verdicts.

He told them: "There is no pressure of time."

The four defendants all deny murder and firearms offences.

A fifth man, 25-year-old Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, of London, pleaded guilty earlier to Pc Beshenivsky's murder, robbery, and related firearms offences.

CCTV request

While deliberating last week, the jury asked to see again the CCTV footage of the shooting.

The court heard the two officers were the first to respond to a silent panic alarm which had been activated by staff at the travel agency.

As they arrived, 38-year-old Pc Beshenivsky was hit in the chest at close range by a round from a handgun and her 37-year-old colleague, Pc Milburn, was also gunned down in the street.

Despite seeing her colleague's head "flop" to the side and coughing up blood herself, Pc Milburn managed to send a Code Zero alert over her police radio indicating an officer had been shot.

The jury heard that 20-year-old Yusuf Abdillh Jamma was one of three men who posed as customers inside the premises during the raid while four others were waiting in nearby streets.

Suspects missing

The gang, some of whom had partied on champagne and vodka in a brothel the previous evening, had hoped to take up to £100,000 in the raid, but escaped, firing a shot back towards the shop, with little more than £5,000.

Jamma, of Whitmore Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, admits robbery and two firearms offences, but denies murder and two further firearms offences.

Raza Ul-Haq Aslam, 25, of St Pancras Way, Kentish Town, north London, Faisal Razzaq, 25, and his 26-year-old brother Hassan, both of Sebert Road, Forest Gate, east London, all deny Pc Beshenivsky's murder, robbery and four related firearms offences.

Two men, 25-year-old Mustaf Jamma and Piran Ditta Khan, remain on the run.
