A spokesman for Groupe Samat whose equipment was damaged in the fire said they are investigating the cause of the fire. Assistant divisional officer Jason Evans from South Wales Fire Service said: "It was a dangerous situation. There were three minor explosions just as the fire appliances arrived.
"They were attributed to the large tyres which were on the fork lift truck exploding, but no firefighters or members of the public were hurt."
