Armed Bedouin tribesmen have seized 25 policemen in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula near the Israeli border, reports say. Bedouin tribesmen have released 25 Egyptian policemen, hours after seizing them at gunpoint near Israel's border.
The Bedouin stopped a police vehicle, forced the policemen out and took them to an undisclosed location, a police source told Reuters news agency. The police were released in a mountainous area in the Sinai Peninsula, security sources said.
