Highways England said there were delays of approximately 10 minutes after the road opened, however traffic flow was expected to return to normal before rush hour. Police said two HGVs, a box van and a recovery vehicle were involved in the crash.
It is not clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash, but police said there were no fatalities or reports of injuries. A woman is being treated in hospital after she had to be cut free from her vehicle, however police said her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
