A member of the public discovered the body just after 1300 GMT on Friday, and a cordon was put in place around the building while inquiries continued. Police said they were treating the death of the man as "unexplained". It is understood the body was found in the garden of the home of father-of-two Alan Goulden, who went missing on 30 August this year. A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "The body is in a decomposed state and enquiries are ongoing in order to establish the man's identity, as well as how he came to be in the bushes. "At this time the death is being treated as unexplained, and we currently have forensic officers and detectives carrying out investigations at the scene." |
