A 15-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he was stabbed in a school in west London. A 15-year-old boy stabbed at his school is recovering in hospital after initial fears for his life.
Officers were called to the Cardinal Wiseman School on Greenford Road, Greenford, at 1610 GMT and found the boy with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital by air ambulance from Cardinal Wiseman School on Greenford Road, Greenford, west London, at 1610 GMT on Thursday.
The youth was taken to a hospital by air ambulance where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His injuries were considered life-threatening, but police have confirmed that his condition has since improved.

An arts festival was being held in the Cardinal Wiseman School when the stabbing happened within school premises, a student from the school told BBC London. An arts festival was due to take place in the school later that evening, but was cancelled because of the stabbing.
A statement on the school's website said it will remain closed on Friday, except for Year 11 students. A spokesman for the school said it would remain closed on Friday, except for year 11 classes.
"The school day will be a normal Monday other than each year group will have a short assembly during the morning so that all students are fully informed and reassured," he said.
"We will be offering a full range of pastoral support for those students affected by this."
