A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a police officer who was hit by a van after trying to question the driver. | |
North Wales Police said the officer tried to question a driver on suspicion of failing to stop. | |
The officer was hit as the driver allegedly tried to move away at about 0730 GMT in Hawarden, Flintshire. | |
The suspect was arrested moments later. The officer was checked by paramedics and received minor injuries. | |
A force spokeswoman said: "Shortly after 7.30am today the officer was attempting to speak to the driver of a van which had initially failed to stop on The Highway in Hawarden. | |
