The funeral of a teenage Army cadet who was stabbed outside a Liverpool youth club is to take place later. Mourners have gathered to pay tribute to an Army cadet who was stabbed to death in an attack near a youth club.

His parents, John and Toni Lappin, will lead mourners, including Joseph's brother and sister, at the private service at a church in the city. He died shortly after the attack, in which his friend Callum Naden, 17, suffered serious stab wounds.
Three people are currently being held by police investigating his murder. Joseph's family and friends attended St Oswald's Church in Old Swan for a requiem mass in his honour.
