Wild waves brought on by the severe storm were seen crashing into the building as high as the third floor, wiping out the railings of balconies. A total of 39 people were evacuated from two separate locations on the island as the turbulent sea battered its coast. Some 15 evacuees left the apartment block featured in the videos, according to local media.
