Man on schoolgirls heroin charge

A man has been charged with giving heroin to two 14-year-old girls to the danger of their lives.

It is alleged the pair fell ill in Galashiels last month after receiving drugs from Darren Richardson, 27, of the town's Thistle Street.

He appeared on petition at Selkirk Sheriff Court on a total 13 drug-related charges.

He made no plea or declaration and the case was continued. He was remanded in custody.
