Army bomb disposal experts found components for improvised explosive devices at Fairview Park at about 2355 GMT on Saturday. They were not set to detonate but could have been assembled later for use elsewhere, a Garda spokesman said. A controlled explosion was carried out and the bomb disposal officer said the area was declared safe at 0310 GMT. The remains of the devices were handed over to gardaà at the scene for further investigation. |
